RODS Virtual Community Fair- Regina Transition House
Regina Transition House is an emergency short term shelter for women and children fleeing violence. The shelter opened on January 12, 1976 and we have since served over 14,000 women and children. We aim to provide a safe comforting place while providing domestic violence education, advocacy, and ongoing emotional and mental health supports for both adults and children. Due to the prevalence of domestic abuse within our society, there are several organizations and agencies to help support, educate, and advocate for the safety of individuals facing violence. Agencies such as PATHS (Provincial Association of Transition Houses and Services of Saskatchewan), Family Service Regina, the YWCA, and SOFIA House are also committed to eradicating violence and ensuring individuals can access safer means. Regina Transition House will be presenting on behalf of these agencies to help educate and provide domestic violence resources to those in need.
